Due to the current water outage affecting much of the local area over the weekend, we are still without water at the hospital. South East Water have reported a burst water main which has affected supply across a large area of west Kent.
We have worked hard over the weekend getting external water brought into the hospital but this is being prioritised for in-patients and staff. Some facilities, such as client toilets, will be out of use on Monday 24th March.
We are currently anticipating seeing out-patients as normal at the hospital, but some procedures may possibly need to be postponed until we have normal supply back.
From the South East Water updates we have been receiving, they are working tirelessly to have the issue resolved, but it is unlikely to be today. We will soon be receiving a tanker to supply water to the hospital, but we are still being cautious and prioritising water for our teams and patients.
The latest update on 24.03.25 is that repairs to the water treatment plant have continued throughout Sunday night but it will take time to restore running water. It is unlikely that running water will be restored today, so throughout Monday and into Tuesday we are expecting the situation to be the same.
